In the south of the Gnornish Marshes, the deep south, the farthest you can go before the swampbarks thicken and the air becomes a choking mass of midges, lives Unfulfremednes, also knows as the Entity of Imperfection. The entity is mostly humanoid, but walks on all fours with its head bowed. You can hear them coming through the marshes, the splashing of the tendrils that grow along its spine is impossibly loud in the thick air. It is known that Unfulfremednes was once a skilled weaver who inhabited the lands around Upper Swale, however it is also known that Unfulfremednes once pissed off the Swan Witch, which is about the time they relocated to their current marshy haunts.

Should you stay long enough in the deep southern Gnornish marshes, you may ask the Entity of Imperfection two questions. One of the answers it gives will be a useful untruth; the other will be an unlikely fact.

When the first sheriff of the Gnornlands arrived two centuries ago, they were dismayed to hear from the locals that there lived such an outrageously illegal entity under their tenuous jurisdiction. They couldn’t abide the idea of a lawless, partially human entity leading the Gnornians astray with half truths and cockerel - so they rounded up as many brave Gnornish parishioners as they could (not an easy feat in the Gnornlands), and went seeking a word with Unfulfremednes.

What happened exactly, nobody can rightly say. But upon returning alone after three short hours, the sheriff - covered to their knees in mud, and from knees to elbows in a thick, green mucous - resigned their post, and without another word commandeered the first boat out of Upper Swale. It’s said they sailed as far as the port of Reväwbrø across the Shallow Seas, where they were murdered by a Danish land pirate with a bread knife over a sack of flour.

What is also known is that Unfulfremednes, the Entity Of Imperfection, continues to live, splash, and haunt the deep southern marshes.
